Integrated software
Traceable workflows connecting seismic evidence, reservoir physics, simulation, uncertainty and decisions.
SeiSyn was created from a recurring challenge observed across years of seismic and reservoir work: valuable subsurface evidence was distributed across disciplines, software environments and disconnected workflows.
The company brings together integrated software, specialist consulting, artificial intelligence, training and applied R&D to transform complex geoscience and reservoir information into better asset decisions.
The journey behind SeiSyn began with seismic processing and interpretation and evolved through acquisition, survey design, imaging, quantitative interpretation, rock physics and reservoir characterisation.
That experience expanded across onshore, offshore and ultra-deepwater environments, with extensive work on streamer and OBN data and increasingly complex 3D and 4D seismic workflows.
As the focus moved toward 4D reservoir monitoring, the question also changed. It was no longer only, “Can we image the reservoir better?” It became, “What changed in the reservoir, why did it change, and what decision should follow?”
Answering that question required connecting seismic evidence with wells, production, pressure, saturation, geology, rock physics and dynamic reservoir models.
Better images create insight. Connected evidence supports better decisions.
Working directly with reservoir engineering and dynamic simulation made a recurring industry gap clear.
Geophysics and reservoir engineering often describe the same physical reservoir through different tools, assumptions, data structures and technical languages. Seismic can reveal evidence of change. Dynamic models can predict pressure and fluid movement. Production data can show reservoir response. Yet connecting these perspectives still requires repeated handoffs, exports, spreadsheets, specialist tools and manual reconciliation.
The reservoir is one system. Its interpretation should not be fragmented across disconnected workflows.
Recognising the challenge was not enough. Building on an existing programming foundation, software-engineering knowledge was deepened with a specific objective: to transform subsurface expertise into scalable technology.
The goal was not to move away from geoscience, but to create the technological capability needed to connect it more effectively with reservoir engineering.
That work evolved into SeiSyn. A stable technical career was left behind to focus full-time on building a company dedicated to integrated subsurface intelligence.

Carlos brings more than 18 years of international experience across seismic acquisition, processing, quantitative interpretation, 4D reservoir characterisation and reservoir engineering.
His experience spans onshore, offshore and ultra-deepwater settings, across different geographic regions and geological basins worldwide. He has worked with both siliciclastic and carbonate reservoirs in pre-salt and post-salt environments, using streamer and OBN seismic data in complex imaging, rock-physics, reservoir-monitoring and multidisciplinary interpretation workflows.
His experience integrating geophysical evidence with production data and dynamic reservoir models provided both the technical foundation and the industry insight from which SeiSyn was created.
